Transportation of a honey

Nobody will argue with the statement that honey is a particularly valuable product, which is often used to treat various diseases.  Before consumers get the opportunity to purchase this medicinal product, a considerable time passes by. Beekeepers have to solve many problems with a large number of tasks. There are issues that are entirely relevant to their competence, including the selection of a good location for the installation of hives, the process of picking up, storing honey.  Any experienced beekeeper knows very well how to act on each of these stages.  Problems often arise during the transportation phase, which lead to the loss of a sweet product.  To preserve the integrity of the results of their work, it is recommended to use the services of specialists of moving companies who thoroughly know the specifics of such transportation.

Features of packaging

Let’s say at once that the type of container must be chosen based on a number of parameters.Take into consideration the volumes of supplies, the terms of storage; it is necessary to take into account the security measures in the process of the moving.  Of course, the properties of the product should not suffer during the delivery and further storage.

Here isthe list of the main types of packaging, which are successfully used for many years.  “Classics of the genre” are considered wooden barrels.  They are usually made of wood, which can last many decades.  There is certain standard for volume, which is 75 liters.  In such a container, the products are supplied to wholesale consumers, among which are food-flavoring, packing factories.

Aluminum and stainless containers are popular among carriers.  Such containers can vary within fairly wide limits – from 5 to 30 liters. Sometimes plastic can be used.  Such containers are very good for a number of reasons.  They are cheap to buy and there is no risk of damage to the goods en route.  Frankly speaking, beekeepers do not like plastic, because they are afraid of detrimental effects on the quality of honey.  Such a process can really begin, but only at high temperatures.  Using of such barrels only for transportation and subsequent packaging in other containers is entirely acceptable. Among the containers of a compact size, glass is the most popular.  Specialists, who are engaged in the field of insect breeding, are very supportive of this material, considering it the best price-quality ratio.  Products in the glass are not affected by harmful factors.  A significant disadvantage is the high risk of damage to such containers.

Choosing a transport

To pick a suitable car is not difficult, for picking up a sweet product; you will need smart pickups and more capacious minivans. When the carrier serves several beekeepers in the same area, a vehicle of greater load capacity may be involved.  An important nuance is the maintenance of the temperature regime.  In a period of intense heat, it is reasonable to order a refrigerator.  This transport will cost more, but it will save all the flavoring, healing properties of the product.  The driver will take care of maintaining a certain temperature level.  When ordering a truck, you only need to tell about the volume of the cargo, the form of the container, and the dispatcher of the carrier will offer you a suitable vehicle.

How to carry?

In order to deliver the honeywithout damaging its characteristics, it is necessary to take into consideration several important points: First of all, start loading adhering to all precautions. Each container must be carefully closed, rechecked before installation in the body. Place the containers as tightly as possible so that it does not break, does not deform.  If necessary, install containers in an additional packaging made of cardboard. We recommend you to prepare a corrugated board. If there is no corrugated grate, it is necessary to lay sheets of cardboard, thick paper between the containers. It is recommended to pack glass jars with honey in such way.

Now it’s time to think about the route. Choose the shortest path to the place of unloading and navigate the route. Here everything is not so simple as it seems.  It is not recommended to expose fragile items to shaking, so you have to choose the path with the best quality of the roadway to protect honey from loss of useful properties.

The speed of the car is also very important.  High speed will inevitably lead to the shaking of body of the car, that’s why don’t drive too fast.  On the other hand don’t drive too slowly on hot weather. It is necessary to choose the average speed of driving.Only an integrated approach can save valuable products from losses during transportation.  Careful packaging and competent loading, the optimal transportation route and low speed are essential parts of success moving.

Of course, the preparatory stage takes a lot of time and effort, transportation requires special attention from the driver, but such a responsible approach will allow beekeepers to get the maximum reward for their hard work.  Always remember that before deliveringsuch a valuable and useful load.
